JurisTemps is a proud member of the AMERICAN STAFFING ASSOCIATION.
We are also affiliated with the Bar Association of Metropolitan
St. Louis (BAMSL), the Gateway Chapter of the Association of
Legal Administrators (ALA), the American Corporate Counsel Association
(ACCA), and the St. Louis Association of Legal Assistants (SLALA).
Management welcomes other affiliations, as applicable, on a

database, JurisSearch, enables our recruiters to stay on the

How does JurisTemps implement its
screening process?
Because our recruiters know that JurisTemps is only as good
as its candidates, we take great care in our applicant screening
and skill assessment program. In addition to careful resume
review, each applicant spends roughly one hour with a member
of our recruiting staff, and is contacted afterwards with
follow-up questions as applicable. References and state licensure
are extensively checked by professional recruiters, and specific
testing is available for secretarial and paralegal candidates.
All applicants are required to submit a list of three professional
references, a driver's license and a social security card.
What costs/fees are associated with
the services of JurisTemps?
JurisTemps makes life easy when you employ one of our candidates
on a temporary or temp-to-hire basis. Each week, our employee
will present a time sheet for signature and verification,
and a weekly invoice will be sent, reflecting these hours,
to your firm/corporation for payment. JurisTemps handles all
payroll taxes, withholdings, and worker's compensation insurance.
If you should wish to permanently hire one of our temporary
or temp-to-hire candidates after employing them for a time
in your office, JurisTemps will provide you with a discount
off of the permanent placement fee.
Can we hire one of JurisTemps' temporary
employees?
Yes, and at any time. Our temp-to-hire option makes it easy
for you to convert an employee to your payroll. While many
employers choose to extend their temp-to-hire positions for
3-5 months on a temporary basis, our clients may negotiate
a salary and benefits package for a prospective employee at
any time during his or her employment. The recruiters at JurisTemps
will work with you to finalize this package and to officiate
a start date and payroll conversion.
Does outsourcing our legal professionals
really save us money?
Humor us with a brief calculation. Add together the cost of
the average number of employment advertisements used per position,
the cost of on-line web and job-board posting fees, and incorporate
